You can control the difficulty, making it more challenging, or making it really easy. The standard difficulty, 2.0, isn't very hard.
The controls are too complex? The game only uses the Stylus, Circle Pad, and L Button. You move with the Circle pad, aim or move the camera with the Stylus, and press L to shoot. There are other setups, but it's all very simple.
Hm, I see. It's just that I've heard from review outlets that this game is only for "those looking for a challenge" or for "hardcore enthusiasts".
Yeah, I mean, reviews said the land battle controls are very difficult, with using the stylus to move battle and the circle pad to move Pit around, and I heard the camera doesn't always cooperate which apparently makes such battles very tricky.
The game certainly rewards you for playing on higher difficulties.
The difficulty system is like a gamble. You bet hearts to play on either something lower than 2.0, or higher than 2.0. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards you get. If you die, though, you lose some of the hearts you bet, the rewards you earned's stats lower, and you get dropped down to a lower difficulty. If you succeed, though, you get back the hearts you gambled, get way more, get better weapons, and it just overall rewards you.
The land battle controls are simple, but they take some getting used to. You can change settings though to make it play in a way better suited to you, and once you find a setup you like or get accustomed to the controls, it controls perfectly fine.
Hm...well, I might look more into it based on what you told me...and perhaps they'll have a demo of it I can play when I visit the Nintendo World Store tomorrow. It's just that type of game I think I need to demo before I really commit to purchasing.
Still, thanks for the additional in-depth info, dude.
